I scanned 276 real business websites across 16 industries for one thing: when someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI to recommend a business, can the AI even read and understand these sites? Here is the whole map. Every dot is one real site (kept anonymous). Hover any of them.

What the map shows

• 276 real Indian business websites across 16 industries, each scored 0 to 100 for AI readability.
• The overall median is 84 of 100, and 90% of sites have no FAQ markup, the format AI answer engines quote most.
• Gyms and fitness (median 53.5) and law firms (59.5) are the least readable; IVF clinics and dermatology lead at about 90.
• When a site is unreadable to AI, the AI recommends a directory instead of the business, so the business loses the customer at the moment they asked.
